That was their first time trip away from and they wanted to see something of Dazhou’s beautiful places. One morning they started out to look for the Red Army Pavilion. They stopped a stranger and asked politely. “Excuse me ,could you tell us how to get to the Red Army Pavilion of Dazhou, please?” Go five blocks and turn to your right,” the young man said quickly. “You can’t miss it .” So they walked five blocks and turn to their right, but the Red Pavilion wasn't there. They then asked a second stranger . “Excuse me ,how do we get to the Red Pavilion of Dazhou?” Go five blocks and turn to your right. You can’t miss it .” the man answered without any hesitation. But again they couldn't find the pavilion. Finally they asked a third stranger .”excuse me , where is the Red Pavilion of Dazhou?” “Go five blocks and turn to your right. You can’t miss it .” the man replied unwittingly. This time they found the pavilion, but they wondered if everything in Dazhou was five blocks and a right turn away.Just then somebody came up to them and said, “Excuse me ,do you know where I can buy some milk around here ?” “ Go five blocks and turn to your right ,” MacDonald and his daughter said loudly , “you can’t miss it.” (to be continued ) 麦克唐纳德和他的女儿(2) 素手纤纤 “你不会错过的” 第二天，麦克唐纳德和他的女儿决定去在达州进行一周的旅行。这是他们第一次旅行，他们想看看达州美丽的地方。 一天早晨，他们开始寻找著名的红军亭。他们在一个陌生人面前停下来，礼貌地问：“打扰一下，你能告诉我们如何去达州的红军亭吗？” “走五个街区然后右拐，”年轻人说得很快。“你不会错过它的。” 他们走了五个街区然后右拐，没有红军亭。他们接着问的第二个陌生人。“打扰一下，我们怎么去达州的红军亭？” “走五个街区然后右拐。你不会错过它的。”男人毫不犹豫地回答。 但他们还是没找到红军亭。最后，他们又问第三个陌生人。“ 打扰一下，哪里是达州的红军亭？” “走五个街区然后右拐。你不会错过它的。”男人不经意的回答。 这一次他们找到了红军亭，但他们不知道是否在达州每问一个地方就是过五个街区然后右转。这时刚好有人走上前来问路：“打扰一下你知道我在哪里可以买牛奶吗？” “走五个街区然后右拐，”麦克唐纳德和他的女儿大声说，“你不会错过它的。” （待续） 赞 (散文编辑：江南风) |
